Harper Adams University offers the only postgraduate courses (PgC, PgD and MSc) in Plant Pathology in the UK.  The courses are designed for graduates who want to pursue a career or further study within applied plant pathology, crop protection or agronomy.

Harper Adams University is set on a 630 hectare farm in rural Shropshire.  We are the leading specialist university tackling the future development of: our planet's food production and processing, animal and crop sciences, agricultural engineering, land management and the sustainability of business.

The Plant Pathology courses are taught by our own pathologists alongside a group of visiting lecturers/professors who include some of the country’s top plant pathologists from government and industry. Our programmes cover the biology of the main pathogen groups, diagnostics, epidemiology and crop protection strategies. Small groups, typically 8-15 students, are taught through practical laboratory classes, field walks and lectures.

The courses are taught as one week modules so can be completed part-time whilst in employment.

Anyone interested in further details are directed to the webpage and to contact the course manager – Professor Simon Edwards.
